My daughter requested more bibs. I have a few more cut out, including one with a pieced heart. I used some fleece for the back and did not put any batting in these two.
I will make more dresses (so cute!) and I cut out a few more. This design uses bias tape and a shoulder overlap (no zipper). I think I will try it with a non-knit skirt attached to a knit bodice. I am hoping to find a cute t-shirt to re-use. Our fabric stores do not carry very many knits and the ones they do carry are pretty expensive. It only uses a tiny bit to make a baby’s dress so I’ll be on the look out for a good print on a t-shirt.
The jumpsuit took me long enough that I am not very likely to make more of them. I put some elastic in the little hat to help it stay on.
Hope you had a good snow day!
I linked up to a few linky parties this week including Someday Crafts Whatever Wednesday, Just a Girl, Can I get a Whoop Whoop,
and Sugar and Spice.
Speaking of Can I get a Whoop Whoop, Sarah from Confessions of a Fabric Addict is having a great fabric giveaway along with her weekly linky party. Head on over and leave a comment to join in on the fun.
These were really cute. I remember sewing bibs and things for Ian. I haven't sewn knits in so long that I don't have any scraps for you. I'll keep my eye open. Are you going to JoAnn's?
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm in the Maryland/WV area and that's how I managed to get my Whoop Whoop project done too! I LOVE snow days! I really like the jumper you made it's super cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! Congratulations on the grand baby. I bet she will look adorable in these.
ReplyDeleteYour baby clothes are adorable! I miss being able to buy cute knit fabrics, though - you might try looking on line! Great finishes! Whoop whoop!!
