Sherbet baby bento boxes

I made this quilt for my coworker's daughter. She is having her first baby in a few weeks.

It was so much fun to make!  I used some of the strips from my Kona jelly roll along with a mix of polka dots from my stash.  The centers were from a charm pack.  I liked it but I didn't love it until I put on the border and binding.  Then it was suddenly much more attractive to me!
I had fun quilting it, too.  I just used a meander with white thread but it felt easier than it has before.  I guess I am learning how to pace my hands and feet better.

The cute hippo backing was from IKEA last summer.

Hope Mom and Baby both enjoy it!

What a sweet quilt! And I love that backing - so much that I've got a piece of it in my stash, too!

Hi Sarah!
Isn't it cute? It is wider, too, so I didn't have to piece the back. Thanks for stopping by!

That is really cute! I am so impressed with how all those different fabrics came together on the front. I have that pattern and I keep wanting to try it but I get cold feet or fingers with deciding how to put the scraps together! Love the hippos on the back! I did not see that in my IKEA store. :-(

What a beautiful, cheerful quilt. I am new to FMQ so I'm glad to hear it gets easier. I'm sure mom and baby will love this.

I have GOT to make one of these. I have seen several and love every one that I see. Might put it on my list for an H2H quilt.
